Sharing cultural knowledge at work: a study of chat interactions of an internationally dispersed team

Tässä artikkelissa tarkastellaan etnometodologisen jäsenkategorisoinnin analyysin avulla, kuinka kansainvälisesti hajautetun tiimin jäsenet jakavat kulttuurista tietoa Skype™ -keskusteluissaan. Tarkemmin katsotaan sitä, miten osallistujat luokittelevat itsensä ja muut tiimin jäsenet ’kulttuurisiksi tietäjiksi’ ja ’ei tietäjiksi’. Analyysissa havaittiin neljä tapaa, joilla tiimin jäsenet jakoivat tietoa samalla kun he hallinnoivat tehtävien jakelua ja suorittamista sekä rakensivat yhteisymmärrystä vuorovaikutuksessa. In this article we report the findings of a critical discourse analysis of the diagnostic criteria for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and hyperkinetic disorder (HD) in two clinical manuals – Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, 5th edition and International Classification of Diseases, 10th edition. We examine the actions (behaviors) that are said to indicate the presence of ADHD/HD and analyze what the inclusion of these actions reveals about the relationship between ADHD/HD, cultural knowledge, and values. This work aims to analyze the traditional agricultural technique of the Giardino Pantesco, typical of the isle of Pantelleria (Sicily, Italy). With this particular technique a single citrus tree is encircled by a drywall of volcanic rocks allowing it to grow even in the island's unfavorable meteorological conditions. This technique has been analyzed by placing one instrumental array inside the Giardino and one outside and by measuring different environmental variables. Se analizan aquí algunos mecanismos de difusión de conocimientos agronómicos en una zona agraria de la periferia europea caracterizada por los elevados rendimientos del suelo. Se estudia también el papel de las élites rurales en este proceso, destacando la función de legitimación social que ese papel tenia en la sociedad liberal del siglo XIX. Este trabajo tiene por objeto realizar una aproximación a las artesanías sobre materias duras de origen animal durante la Edad del Hierro en la PI y al estudio de los materiales como un medio para acercarnos a la sociedad que los produjo. La problemática abordada contempla los procesos de la producción artesanal, la transmisión del conocimiento y la circulación de algunos de estos bienes. Hemos elegido dos tipos de piezas singulares: los peines de marfil y las placas de telar de hueso.
